Periodontics and Implantology

Dr. Kelsheimer has practiced periodontics and implantology since 1975 in Belleville, Mt. Vernon and presently  practices in Maryville, Illinois.

Education:

Dr. Kelsheimer is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, received his postgraduate degree in the specialty of periodontics from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, completed a general dentistry residency while in the military and did his implant training at the Misch Institute. He holds membership in the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, International Congress of Oral Implantology, Midwest Society of Periodontolgy, Illinois Society of Periodontolgy, Madison County Dental Society, Illinois Dental Society and was a former officer of the St. Clair District Dental Society. He is also an associate professor at Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine and has lectured extensively throughout the midwest on periodontics and implantology. He has authored a textbook on clinical periodontology and numerous articles for magazines.

Personal Interests:

Dr. Kelsheimer has been married since 1969 to his best friend Phyllis. They like to golf, travel, garden, and take care of their Boxer dog, Ellie.
